Wendy Holcomb Burch has been co-proprietor of F. Scott's Restaurant and Jazz Bar for close to six years and has extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
Like other members of the F. Scott team, Burch started on a path far from the world of food and wine. Burch received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, and a Master's in Political Science and Government. As part of her graduate work, she studied International Law in Paris, France and worked as a Press and Legislative Aid in the Office of Senator Fred Thompson in Washington, D.C.
Burch has spent time in locales more exotic than Paris. She worked with the Overseas Service Corps of the YMCA in Asia, and as an editor for the China Post - an English language newspaper - in Taipei, Taiwan.
Unlike many young professionals, Burch continued to pursue a career in the world of non-profit. Her work in this arena included stints with the First Amendment Center at Vanderbilt University, l' Ete du Vin and the American Cancer Society.
Today, while being co-proprietor of F. Scott's carries a demanding workload, Burch continues to enjoy philanthropic endeavors. She serves on various boards and works closely with several local charities including the Arthritis Foundation, Tennessee Foreign Language Institute, St Luke's Community House, l' Eté du Vin and the American Heart Association.
Burch lives in Nashville with her husband Steve. They make the most of a shared interest in food, wine and travel.
